• -Յն. ἐεσίz «արսոր», որ կազմուած է εζ-«դուրս» նախդիրով ὄρος «եզերք, սահ ման» բառից. ըստ այսմ բառը թարգմանուած է նաև յունաբան հեղինակներից հյ. արտասահմա-նութիւն (արտ-և սահման բառերից)։ Յունա-րէնից փոխառեալ են ասոր. [syriac word] Aksoria կամ eksoria, վրաց. ეკსორია եք-սորիա «աքսոր»։ Հայերէնի մէջ, ինչպէս նա-խաձայն ֆայնաւորները ցոյց են տալիս. աք-սոր փոխ է առնուած ասորերէն ձևից և աւելի հին հայերէն է, քան եքսորի, որ փոխ է առ-նուած ուղղակի յունարէնից և գոյութիւն ու-նի միայն յետին ժամանակի հեղինակների մօտ։-Հիւբշ. 301։
• ՆՀԲ, որ ծանօթ էր միայն աքսոր ձևին, դնում է յունարէնից փոխառութիւն։ Այս-պէս նաև Տէրվ. Altarm. 69, որ նախա-ձայնը հայացած է համարում։ Առաջին անռամ ասորերէն ձևի հետ համեմատեց P. Smith 185 (ըստ Lagarde, Arm. Stud § 304)։-Եքսորել ձևը նորագիւտ է և բառարաններում չկայ։
