Խ սγի ká-fei'։ Բոյսի գիտական անունն է coffea arabica։ Կան գիտուններ, որոնք պնդում են թէ բառս Ափրիկեան Caffa երկ-րի անունից է, ուր, ինչպէս և առհասարակ հասարակածային Ափրիկէի մէջ՝ սրճենին աճում է վայրի վիճակում և անտառներ է կազմում։ Այստեղից Եթովպիոյ վրայով ան-ցել է Արաբիա, որտեղից էլ տարածուել է ամէն կողմ (Տաշեան ՀԱ 1925, էջ 177)։
