• = Իրանեան փոխառութիւն է և ծագում է զնդ. dušxvarənah-բառից, որ թարգման-ւում է ըստ Geldner «անպատիւ, անարգ», ոստ Justi «վատ փայլ ունեցող, ամբարիշտ», ըստ Darmesteter «անփառունակ», ըստ Bartholomae 755 «ubelberuchtigt, վատա-նուն, վատահամբաւ», ըստ պահլաւ թարգ-մանութեան «վատ ճակատագիր ունեցող»։ Բառիս բուն իմաստն է «նա՝ որի փառքը, մե-ծութիւնը, արժանիքը վատ է» և ևառմուած k duš «դժ-, վատ» և xvarənah «փառք» բա-ռերից։ Հայերէն բառը կարող է երկու ձևով մեկնուիլ. նախ՝ զնդ. dušxvarənā ձևին հա-մապատասխան հպրս.* dušhuvarna ձևից, որից պրս.՝ dušxvarr և սրանից էլ հյ. *ղուշվառ>*'դշվառ>թշուառ. բայց աւելի լաւ է դնել հպրս. *dušuvarna, որից պրս. dusvarr և սրանից էլ հյ. *դուշվառ>դըշ-վառ> թշուառ. հմմտ. վերը դժուար բառին տրուած մեկնութիւնը։-Հիւբշ. 154։
