• = Բարդուած է շղու «յիմար» և բարք, բա-րոյք բառերից. առաջինը կորած հայերէն ռառ է, որ գտնում ենք նաև վրացերէնում. այսպէս՝ შლუ շլու «խենթ, յիմար», მლუობა շլուոբա «խենթութիւն, յիմարութիւն». սա-կայն ո՛վ ումից է առած։
• ՆՀԲ վերիվերոյ մեկնում է բառը «շո-ղոմարար, քծնող, շնթող, շլխտի, ճիլ-վէճի», իսկ շղուրտաբարոյ համարում է «մայրենամիտ, վայրագ, լծ. լտ. silva-nus, ի յն. իլէ՛օս»։ Այսպէս են նաև ՋԲ և ԱԲ։ Վերի ձևով մեկնեց Աճառ.
