• Հին բռ. բառս մեկնած է «հիւսն», անշուշտ հետևցնելով այն բանից, որ հայր Յովսէփ հիւսն էր։ Եղիշէին հետե-ւելով Աւգերեան, Լիակ. վրք. սրբ. ե. 18 և միևնոյն ժամանակ առասպելը մևևնել ուզելով՝ Յիսուսի նախնեաց մէջ ընդունում է Պանթեռ անունով նշանա-ւոր մի հիւսն, իսկ փանդուրակ համա-րում է ibn-durgār «որդի հիւսան»։ ՆՀԲ, անտեղեակ վերոյիշեալ առասպե-լին և առանց ուշադրութիւն դարձնելու ևեռ.-այ վերջաւորութեան, որ յատուկ է միմիայն յատուկ անուններին, մեկ-նում է «բառ անյայտ, որպէս հիւսն»։ Նոյնը նաև ՋԲ։-ԱԲ դնում է «յատուկ անուն հին հերետիկոսի կամ գէշ մար-դու, ըստ այլոց հիւսն»։ Lag. Gesam. Abhd. 53 փանդուրակայ որդի մեկնում է «բոզորդի» և կցում է πανϑήρος յա-տուկ անունին։ Լաւագոյն և ուղիղ մեկ-նութիւնը ունի Մ.
